Tortoises on the move

After a little rain on Saturday 1st November 2014, on a walk around Cussen Park we discovered two tortoises that appeared to be digging nest holes. Both were near the rotunda and were probably long-necked tortoises, although they quickly retreated into their shells when we came near.
